Refresh to reflect a new company direction
With a move away from worldwide travel towards a more specific focus on skiing in Japan, Different Snow approached 16i with a requirement for a more up-to-date and applicable brand in order to reflect the change in company direction. Key aims of the project were to update the existing logo and typography and incorporate a new company strapline.
A number of design workshops were held in order to fully explore the requirements of the Different Snow brand. Key brand values, audience types and potential straplines were identified and the preferred design direction decided on. Keen to maintain elements of the existing brand, the designers updated the snowflake to give it a cleaner, premium feel, whilst the colour palette was evolved to incorporate more premium shades. Once complete, the first draft of the logo, strapline, colour palette and brand placement examples were presented to Different Snow for approval, before being applied to the corporate website design.
