Elmore Court • Website
Creating a website to reflect the prestige of the brand.
Elmore Court approached 16i with a need for an updated website which would both fully reflect the prestige of the brand, but also support the integration of a new event management platform.
16i worked closely with Elmore Court to understand the key requirements of the new site from both an aesthetic and a technical perspective, with full scoping being completed as part of an initial design and functionality workshop with the Elmore Court team.
There were two key challenges we needed to overcome. The first was integrating the new event management platform within the site, allowing customers to create and share their own wedding website with guests. The second was to create a web solution that would allow the Elmore team to easily manage, update and adapt the site to their evolving needs.
Our component-led approach was ideally tailored to the design and build meaning that different component blocks (such as images with text overlays or the Instagram feed) can be added or removed in order to build bespoke page layouts via the CMS.

Creating an impactful homepage with unique touches.
As a prestigious showcase wedding and events venue in Gloucestershire the design for the Elmore Court site naturally lent itself to a high-end imagery approach. We wanted them to be able to feature a variety of images and media types including video to showcase the venue and the lifestyle aspect of what goes on.
One of our favourite unique touches we have been able to apply is the use of hand-drawn illustrations by one of their suppliers to bring the site to life, in particular the little bell that dings to download a brochure.

Showcasing everything that Elmore Court has to offer.
As a venue Elmore Court can host a variety of different types of events. Anything ranging from weddings, corporate events, celebrations with friends and family to workshops and classes. It was therefore important that they could build out landing pages to cater for all the different areas that operate in now and the future. Our component-led approach has enabled them to create new pages when needed, choose the appropriate hierarchy structure based on the content flow and user journey and add these pages into the customer journey with ease.

Putting the property on show
A dedicated ‘House’ page helps to showcase Elmore Court and the respective rooms. In particular a module tab layout clearly differentiates between the ‘Upstairs’ and ‘Downstairs’, allowing the user to quickly switch between the two from one central page.

Making enquiries easier to save the date
16i worked closely with Elmore Court to streamline the enquiry page as much as possible, whilst ensuring that all essential information was still captured. This was achieved by the following a ‘What, When, How’ format for the key event information, and condensing the remainder of the form to essential information only (e.g. name, contact details etc.). Users are also only presented with the Elmore Court brochure following submission of the enquiry form.

Designing in response to user habits.
After reviewing analytics data and observing and increasing shift to a more mobile audience, the site was built to responsively adapt across a variety of breakpoints. Features such as a hamburger menu, stacked imagery and horizontal scrolls help to condense the content on smaller screens, whilst still maintaining the user experience.
