The Challenge

Grant UK approached 16i with a need for a more advanced, streamlined installer portal, to enable their 1,000+ installers to register products quickly and easily.

The Approach

With user experience in mind the design and development teams worked closely to build a system that is both technologically advanced, yet (as a result of great UI design) easy-to-use.

Exclusively available to G1 installers, the portal comprises a number of user-focused features including a bespoke summary dashboard (displaying recent registrations, service reminders and due dates), as well as the ability to view, draft, and/or complete new product registrations.

The portal also syncs with the corresponding G1 Click app (also developed by 16i), ensuring a seamless user experience between the two and ultimately allowing installers to complete registrations on the move.

Easy and immediate registration process

Step by step process taking installers through the product registration with ease. Integration with Grant's back-office systems enables live data to be accessed and inserted ensuring the integrity of product registration data.

Review and manage all registrations.

Installers can review all completed and draft registrations. Quick and easy filtering enables installers to find customer or product information and view warranties, determining if any maintenance that may be required is covered by the product warranty.

Service Reminders

Helping remind installers when customer services are due.

Installers on login will receive notifications that remind them that services are due on their customers products, all in a centrally managed location, removing the requirement for installers to run their own CRM.

Creating an App to make G1 Installation Registrations easier on the move.

Companion iOS and Android app for installers to view and submit registrations on the go without the reliance on a data connection when visiting rural locations. Features include the ability to scan bar codes to pull in serial numbers and data on products installed at customers premises to complete the warranty documentation.
