Rewild Things, an extension of the Elmore Court estate offers six bespoke treehouses, overlooking wild wetlands where animals roam free. Offering an opportunity to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with the magic of nature in these sustainable cabins.

The Challenge

Having successfully turned Elmore Court into one of Gloucestershires most spectacular and desired wedding venues, reflected successful through it's website we previously created they wanted to try to repeat this and approached us to work on their new Rewild Things project.

Rewild Things is the acclimation of many of Anselm's aspirations and goals for how he wants to enhance and grow the Elmore estate, positively contributing to the local area and wider world, whilst also making the Estate a viable and successful business operation. Having seen the impact we are having on the world and the growing movement to try to halt and even reverse some of this damage, thus the vision for Rewild Things was born.

A combination of regenerative farming, returning parts of the estate back to nature and the key aspect, six bespoke treehouses that would both help fund and support the work, but also promote the principles to guests staying by enabling them to experience what nature has to offer.

The Approach

During the early stages of construction the team approached us to start work on the site. They wanted to keep Rewild Things as a seperate entity from Elmore Court for a number of reasons, but equally they naturally and needed to be linked in some way. The overall design of the Elmore site was loved by all and we all wanted to keep the same format. What was required was to take the existing site and rework with an identity system and creative direction that would set the site and Rewild Things apart.

For the logo and identity we took the iconic crown from the Elmore mark and replaced the swan with a tree with three large branches each reflecting to aspects of the Rewild project; treehouses, rewilding and regenerative farming. For the overall colour scheme we want dark to contrast the bright whites of Elmore and picked leafy colours and tones indicative of the natural aspects of the project.

Treehouses

Showcasing available Treehouses

As the core business and operational part of the project the Treehouses needed to be a high focus aspect for the site. We wanted to provide people with an overview of what to expect and their choices for booking. We included an aerial photo with the treehouses mapped out and a slideshow of the options people could see and choose to learn more or book directly from this portal page.

Explore Individual Treehouses

If a potential customer wanted to know more about each treehouse the dedicated pages provide all the information they need including a brief overview, gallery of photos and a detailed breakdown of what is included in the current treehouse they are reviewing. When ready they can book their stay.

Easy online booking with integration to Cloudbeds

A core part of the functional requirements for the site was the need to integrate with Cloudbeds, an online PMS (property management system). We opted for a custom integration using their API so we could seamlessly make the booking process part of the website rather than take users off to a third party site. This has all helped make the "hands-off" management of the treehouses from booking to check-in and check-out as easy as possible, enabling guests to enjoy a contact-free escape to nature.

They were great with the creative process, they really led it and felt like they really enjoyed doing it and were excited by what we were doing. The integration which was such a big part of what we needed the site to do was just easy and works. Overall it's been a great experience working with 16i again.
